Leucoloma okamurae Brotherus 1921

Plants small, up to 2 cm high, yellowish green to dull green, in loose tufts. Stems erect, often simple, rarely branched; central strand absent. Leaves appressed, rarely crispate when dry, usually homomallous, widely spreading when moist, linear-lanceolate, up to 4 mm long, gradually subulate and canaliculate toward the apex; margins bordered by 1 row of linear cells near the apex, 4–6 rows at the middle, up to 10 rows near the base; costa slender, percurrent to shortly excurrent, denticulate at the tips; upper cells shortly rectangular, 8–10 µm × 4–6 µm; median cells cells rectangular, 12–18 µm × 8–10 µm, large, multipapillose, thick-walled; basal cells linear, 15–25 µm × 4–5 µm, smooth, pellucid, with sinuose walls and gradual transition to narrowed marginal cells; alar cells hyaline, rectangular, 20–25 µm × 15–20 µm, thick-walled. Dioicous. Perichaetial leaves sheathing at base, gradually elongated to a subulate, filiform acumen. Setae 3–5 mm long; capsules oblong-cylindric; opercula long-rostrate; peristome teeth orange-brown below, pale yellowish above. Spores 15–18 µm in diameter.

Distribution: China and Japan.

Habitat: on rotten wood in forests.
