Champsochromis spilorhynchus (Regan 1922)

Diagnosis: dark oblique band on the lachrymal bone in front of the eye; teeth in outer row well-spaced (Ref. 55954).

The female carries over 100 young in her mouth (Ref. 2060).

Occurs mainly over sandy and muddy substrates and feeds on fish (Ref. 5595).
