Echinopora ashmorensis (Hedgehog Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Merulinidae. They are listed as vulnerable by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. Dead Hedgehog Coral form shallow marine sediments. Hedgehog Coral form marine reefs. They have sexual reproduction and asexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners.
