Favites halicora (Larger Star Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Merulinidae. They are listed as near threatened by IUCN and in cites appendix ii. Dead Larger Star Coral form shallow marine sediments. Larger Star Coral form marine reefs. Individuals can grow to 352 µm. They have alternation of generations, asexual reproduction, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They have no parental care. They are sessile animals.
