Coelastrea aspera (Verrill 1866)

Coelastrea aspera is a species of cnidarians in the family Merulinidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. Dead Coelastrea aspera form shallow marine sediments. Coelastrea aspera form marine reefs. Individuals can grow to 349 µm. They have alternation of generations, asexual reproduction, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They have no parental care. They are sessile animals.
