Paragoniastrea australensis is a species of cnidarians in the family Merulinidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. Dead Paragoniastrea australensis form shallow marine sediments. Paragoniastrea australensis form marine reefs. Individuals can grow to 460 µm. They have asexual reproduction, alternation of generations, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They are sessile animals.
