Manicina areolata (Rose Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Faviidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. Dead Rose Coral form shallow marine sediments. Rose Coral form marine reefs. They have alternation of generations, asexual reproduction, and sexual reproduction. They have parental care (brooding and symbiont inheritance). They are facultatively mobile animals.

Definition: Appendix II lists species that are not necessarily now threatened with extinction but that may become so unless trade is closely controlled.
