Lobophyllia recta (Brain Coral) is a species of cnidarians in the family Lobophylliidae. They are listed in cites appendix ii. Dead Brain Coral form shallow marine sediments. Brain Coral form marine reefs. They have alternation of generations, asexual reproduction, and sexual reproduction; they are broadcast spawners. They are sessile animals.

Definition: Appendix II lists species that are not necessarily now threatened with extinction but that may become so unless trade is closely controlled. It also includes so-called "look-alike species", i.e. species whose specimens in trade look like those of species listed for conservation reasons.
