Cnidaria[4] este o încrengătură de animale acvatice ce conține peste 10.000[5] de specii de animale, întâlnite preponderent în mediul marin.
Reprezentanții Cnidaria au fost un timp lung grupați împerună cu Ctenophorele în încrengătura(?) Coelenterata, dar apoi au fost plasate în propria încrengătură.
